No doubt about it, FULL TANG SURVIVAL KNIVES are the best option to go with for a good, sturdy all around survival knife.

Full tang ( or fixed blade) is where the steel runs either all the way through the handle or at least through most of it, creating a really stong survival knife that will pretty much do whatever you need it to do!
