Solar Powered Fan for Cars

Ever climbed into an oven of a car on a hot day?

Take advantage of all that sunshine with a solar powered fan for cars and draw the hot air out while you are shopping.

I wouldn’t recommend using  a solar powered fan for cars as an excuse to leave your pet int he car for a few hours unless you have tested it and KNOW for a fact that your solar powered fan will work as described.

It is a known fact that the air inside your car can hit 100 degrees plus on a hot summer day, which can emit  nasty fumes from the plastic and vinyl parts of the vehicle’s interior.

So installing a simple solar powered fan for cars might be the answer.

Solar powered car vent tip: Make sure the solar part is on the side with the most sun to get maximum performance from your solar powered car fan.

Solar Power Window Fans How-To

Solar powered window fans are a huge asset when trying to dramatically reduce your energy costs. Just a few of these solar fans placed at strategic places will make a huge difference in your energy bill plus the comfort in the home.

While it is a known fact that placing a few gable attic fans in your attic will greatly reduce the cost of cooling your home, what we found was that with a few well placed window fans we could keep our home well within the comfort level even in the 100 degree weather of August.

How To Install Solar Powered Window Fans:

There are a few tricks to doing this and we soon discovered that EVEN ONE NIGHT of missing a few important and key steps resulted in a hot house for a day until we could get it cooled back down.

And all you need is a few window fans, and if you really want to cut costs, then you will want to use solar powered window fans.

If you are using solar already and have a few solar panels attached to your roof then you will be all set but even if this is the first solar powered anything you try, there are some really simple solar powered window fan units available on Amazon for pretty reasonable.

Tip #1: You will need one window fan blowing hot air OUT and the other fan blowing cool air IN.

Tip #2: This is huge… the fan blowing air IN needs to be at the end of the house with the LEAST amount of sunshine.

Tip #3: Keep blowing the hot air OUT all night long!! Your house will be cool in the morning but believe me, you will be glad you did that when the afternoon rolls around.

Tip#4: CLOSE your windows first thing in the morning and trap the cool air inside for as long as you can. Once the warm air starts forcing it’s way in then go back to running your solar powered window fans.

Solar Powered Window Fan

There are solar powered fans for every need you have and a popular choice is a solar powered window fan. Once they are installed they are not only inexpensive ( actually they don’t cost ANYTHING to operate) but any solar powered fan will also lower your energy bill because it will help circulate the air in your home so your AC units will run more efficiently.

Many of the solar powered window fans are all in one unit and easy to install, but if you need one in a window where you don’t have much sunshine you may want to look at a solar powered window unit where the solar panel is attached to a different part of the house than where your fan is at.

In fact many solar energy users have their solar panels attached to the roof at the right angle to catch the most sun and then they have a pilifera of solar powered fans and other appliances throughout their homes that are being powered by the beautiful and FREE energy resources of Mother Nature!

A very effective way to cool down your home without using an air conditioner at all for backup, is to install a solar powered window fan at one end of your home drawing hot air OUT and then have another one at the opposite end pulling cool air IN.

Important: You will want to have the solar powered window fan that is pulling the air IN located at a spot where you have the least amount of sun.
