A Solar Window Fan Will Reduce Your Energy Bill

Solar window fans are a huge way to lower your energy bill in the summertime, ESPECIALLY if you are in an area where it DOES cool off a bit at night.

You can use electric window fans as well, but the solar window fan won’t cost anything to operate once it is installed.

Another Home Cooling Tip: If you have a cool basement and have a way to draw that cool air up through the main floor with a fan, try this.

Place your solar window fan in a window at a position in the house that will force the cool basement air through as much of the main floor as possible. I like to open the basement door (I have to place a small object to hold the door in place once the air starts to circulate.)

Open a window or IN THE BASEMENT and  turn on the solar window fan in your window on the main floor. You will be almost be able to SEE the cool air come swirling through your home if this is done right.
