Solar Powered Fan for Greenhouse
There are a few great solar powered fans for greenhouse that have great reviews on Amazon.
The solar fan unit is easy to install and probably the coolest feature of running a solar powered fan in your green house is that these fans run the best when the sun is at it’s hottest – which is when you NEED them to run at their best.
Being able to circulate the air in your greenhouse with solar is simply a very beneficial thing to do. You can decrease the temperature by about 40% with this solar powered fan.
Pros of Using the CDT Solar Fan in the Greenhouse:
- Easy to install
- Runs quietly when there is enough sun
- Comes with plenty of cord
- No fuel bill!
Cons of using the CDT Solar Fan:
- Makes more noise when there isn’t enough sun (once the sun hits it full force it runs smooth as a whistle)
- Has a heavy duty case and blades which is nice BUT COULD take more juice to run it… One customer said he actually prefers the Rand Solar Powered Attic Gable Fan – 27 Watt Solar Panel – 1720 CFM Ventilator Fan over the CDT Solar fan because of that even though the Rand one is slightly more money.
So although there are pros and cons as to WHAT BRAND of solar fan you get, the bottom line is still that cooling off your greenhouse with a solar powered fan is simply a great way to go.
